Everything you might want to ask before January

What if I'm a beginner mahjong player?

No problem! All skill levels are welcome. We can always assist in finding the best suited table for you to play at.

I'm playing in the tournament. What do I need to bring?

Please bring your 2026 Official Mahjong League Playing Card. If you have a mahjong set of your own, please indicate that when purchasing your ticket, or email Grace-Marie to let us know. If you are able to bring a set, please remove all blanks and make sure you have only eight jokers, since we play by traditional American mahjong rules.

Do I need to bring my checkbook?

If you plan to bid on auction items or make a donation to KMF, we accept checks, cash, and Venmo.

Will there be food and drinks?

Light bites, along with beer, wine, and champagne, will be offered.

I can't make it. Can I still donate?

We appreciate your generous willingness to give, regardless of your inability to attend. Donations can be made to KMF in honor of Saville — see Ways to Give for every way to support the event. Your support is truly making a difference, and we hope to see you next year.
